From the Clerk’s Office

I would like to extend a warm Happy New Year to all our Attica residents and voters. We are gearing up for the 2010 Elections. Normal election dates are in February, May, August and November. Be sure to watch the newspapers to see if there is a local election. We have nothing on the ballot for February 2010 but keep watching for May, August and November elections. I would like to make everyone aware that there are absentee ballots available upon request for those over 60, those who are physically unable to attend the polls without assistance or those who will be out of town during the day of the election. If you are over 60, you can request a permanent absentee ballot. Simply call the office and we will be glad to mark you as a permanent absentee voter and automatically send you the information before each election.

Just a reminder, the Attica Township Office is open every day from 9 a.m. until noon. If you have any questions feel free to come in and see us or call and we will be happy to help you in any way we can. Our Township Board meetings are held here at the hall on the second Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. and everyone is welcome to attend.

If you have not yet come and enjoyed the park in the summer, I would highly recommend that you come and stroll around the beautiful walking path surrounding the park. It is a great way to enjoy the outdoors.
